Sue Goetz, CPH is a garden designer, writer, and speaker. Through her business Creative Gardener, she works with clients to personalize outdoor spaces, from garden coaching to full landscape design. Sue is also lead designer on staff with Father Nature Landscapes in Tacoma, Washington. Her design work has earned gold medals at the Northwest Flower & Garden Show and specialty awards including; the Sunset Magazine award, the Fine Gardening magazine award and the American Horticultural Society award. Sue has a passion for herbs; teaching about gardening and how to use their enchanting qualities. She shares that passion as author of the book, The Herb Lover’s Spa Book (St. Lynn’s Press 2015). The book is filled with lush photos and information for creating sanctuary spaces, plus a compendia of herbs to grow and over 45 recipes to create scrubs, lotions, oils and more. Her work has appeared in numerous publications including Seattle Met magazine, APLD Designer, Pacific Horticulture, West Sound Home and Garden and Fine Gardening.
Come discover creative ways to add edibles to your landscape, such as Chive hedges and apple fences. Many edibles are highly ornamental and can be used in container gardens and mixed garden spaces, or to cover an unsightly fence. Learn favorite edible varieties that mingle well with ornamental landscape plantings or solve landscape problems. Garden sketches, planting ideas and inspired tips for cultivating successful edible landscapes will be included.
