05 Feb Music for Little Sprouts
The Northwest Flower & Garden Show is the perfect place to bring the entire family. We have an expansive PlayGarden, based on the popular chidlren’s classic book, “Swiss Family Robinson,” with lots of exciting things for kids to see, do and touch.
We have a Treasure Hunt to keep them engaged while parents ‘oooh and aaah’ over the stunning show gardens.
Even better, we have some great musical entertainers to liven things up even more every show day – all for FREE!
Join Caspar Babypants, Recess Monkey, Nancy Stewart and Your Imaginary Friend and clap your hands and jump for joy at their silly songs on the Sprout Stage. This is fun for the young – and the young-at-heart.
Here’s what young Mom Jennifer Johnson (“The Hiker Mama” blog) wrote about bringing her two children to the garden show:
Each February, my kids and I look forward with great anticipation to the NW Flower and Garden Show, held in downtown Seattle at the Convention Center. A day filled with flowers, plants, art, design, inspiration and ideas is just what we need in the midst of a dreary, dark and grey winter. This year was our best trip ever, and a super rewarding time with the kids…Another highlight of the day was the children’s area, sponsored by Seattle Children’s Playgarden. We were treated to the live music of Caspar Babypants, an innovative craft we could make, places to run and jump, and best of all, live bunnies and hens to pet and hold. We stayed until almost 7 in the evening, and even then my kids were reluctant to leave.
Tickets are on sale now! Children 12 and under are FREE, Youth tickets (ages 13 – 17) are only $5, and the Early Bird Tickets are only $16. That’s a lot of value for an adventure-packed day, warm and indoors in the middle of February! ~ Janet
