Susan Calhoun

Designer and Principle, Plantswoman Design and 2017 NWFGS Garden Creator

Susan Calhoun is a certified landscape designer with over 14 years of experience in projects ranging from private residences to commercial and show gardens. She has a strong connection to her community and uses sustainable practices, “green” materials, and recycled products to open new avenues for her firm, Plantswoman Design. Susan has created many Gold Medal display gardens at the Northwest Flower & Garden Show. Her work has been featured in Sunset, Outdoor Living, the LA Times, Vancouver Sun, The Seattle Times, and Fine Gardening magazine, along with “Growing a Greener World TV” on PBS. She holds a degree in horticulture and landscape design from South Seattle Community College and interned at the RHS Garden Harlow Carr in England.
