Laura Watson enjoys sharing her ever-increasing clematis knowledge with others. She has grown clematis for over 20 years and currently has nearly 200 in her garden. Laura grows clematis everywhere—in trees, shrubs, and roses, scrambling over perennials, in pots, and on fences, trellises, and arbors. She is a member of the International Clematis Society, the British Clematis Society, and the Friends of the Rogerson Clematis Collection in Oregon, and regularly attends International Clematis Society Conferences in Europe and the US. Laura’s clematis articles have been published in the Journal of the International Clematis Society and locally in PlantAmnesty’s newsletter. She also writes an informative blog entitled Clematis in Seattle. Laura is a Master Gardener and a PlantAmnesty Master Pruner. Recently retired from a seven-year stint as PlantAmnesty’s General Manager, Laura is currently on the PlantAmnesty Board.
