Kirsten Dunn is a proud fifth-generation family member and employee at Dunn Lumber, and the crafty person behind all the projects on Dunn Lumber’s popular Dunn DIY website. Over the past three years she’s cultivated her skills in the DIY field. She has built many lovely planters, including one of the most Pinned strawberry planters on Pinterest, several trellises, a juniper raised bed, flower boxes, and a host of other Pacific Northwest focused DIY projects. She’s passionate about equipping people with the skills to “do-it-themselves.”
Visit the Dunn Lumber booth #707 at this year’s show.
Strawberries are a great plant to start in the winter as a bare-root plant that will come alive in spring. Kirsten will walk through how to build this planter and provide the audience with a handout that has step-by-step instructions to make their own. This planter is made of cedar, so it’s naturally rot-resistant. We’ll also partner with Swansons Nursery to provide some tips on how to grow strawberries in the Pacific Northwest. Kirsten believes that everyone can DIY, and is excited to share this project with you!
