Ellen Zachos

Author, The Wildcrafted Cocktail and co-host, Plantrama Podcast

Ellen Zachos is the author of seven books, including  the recently released The Wildcrafted Cocktail, and also Growing Healthy Houseplants and Backyard Foraging, all by Storey Publishing. She is a regular contributor to several of the Edible magazines and the co-host of Plantrama, a podcast about plants. Ellen is a Harvard graduate and taught at the NYBG for many years, also serving as coordinator of the Gardening Department in Continuing Ed, before moving to Santa Fe, NM. Her website,, promotes the safe and delicious use of wild edible plants and mushrooms with plant profiles and recipes.
