Cyndi is all about wonders in the garden and the joy of growing and eating your own food. With more than 20 years of experience growing edibles on both a small and large scale in the Pacific Northwest, she provides insight, tips and tricks. She has put them all in her book, Real Food from a Real Farm: Eating Through the Seasons (The Roost at Roddy Creek, 2015). As a former perennial plant buyer, field biologist and now a full-time Earth-Friendly Farmer, garden speaker, continuing education instructor and cookbook author there is a deep well from which to pull tips, techniques and advice. Cyndi may be a familiar face to many of you, as she spends much of the year speaking at garden centers and events around the Pacific Northwest.
Whether you have been vegetable gardening for years or it’s your first season, join Cyndi for insights and tricks for growing food west of the Cascades. She’ll help you figure out why some things have worked for you and why some just don’t. Maybe it isn’t your gardening skills, maybe it actually is the weather! The microclimate of the Pacific Northwest is like no other, so discover how to work with Mother Nature—so she doesn’t work against you.
