1. Dates/Eligibility. The “Northwest Flower and Garden Getaway” (the “Contest”) begins on January 4, 2012 at 12:00:00 AM and ends February 13, 2012 by 11:59:59 PM all entries via text will be compiled within the system, in which prizes will be randomly rewarded. The Contest is open to all legal U.S. residents, 18 years of age and older, who hold a valid driver’s license. Message and data rates may apply. Void where prohibited by law. One entry per person. Employees or agents of (a) Alaska Airlines and affiliated companies and (b) Hipcricket, any entity associated with the sponsorship or conduct of the Contest, as well as members of the same household of any such employee or agent, may not participate in the Contest.
2. Two (2) Ways to Enter.
a) Consumers will text in GARDEN to 44227 from their mobile phone to be entered for One Pair of Round Trip Coach Class Tickets to Maui on Alaska Airlines and five night Hotel accommodation at Kaanapali Beach Hotel or One Pair of Round Trip Coach Class Tickets to Glacier Bay/Gustavus on Alaska Airlines and three night Hotel accommodation at Glacier Bay Lodge. Entries are limited to one entry cellular phone number. All prizes are randomly selected and one prize will be awarded by February 16, 2012. Participants will be notified of their prize via text and/or call.
b) To enter for One Pair of Round Trip Coach Class Tickets to Maui on Alaska Airlines and five night Hotel accommodation at Kaanapali Beach Hotel or One Pair of Round Trip Coach Class Tickets to Glacier Bay/Gustavus on Alaska Airlines and three night Hotel accommodation at Glacier Bay Lodge without sending a text message, on a 3” x 5” card, hand print your complete name, street address (no P.O. boxes), city, state, zip code, daytime telephone number with area code and/or cell phone number with area code, signature, date of birth and mail it in an envelope to: HipCricket c/o Alaska to Vegas Giveaway, 4400 Carillon Point, Kirkland, WA, 98033. Mail-in entries must be handwritten. Photocopied or mechanically produced entries are not eligible for entry. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by 2/12/2012 and received by 2/16/2012. Limit one (1) entry per postmarked outer envelope.
3. Prizes. One Pair of Round Trip Coach Class Tickets to Maui on Alaska Airlines and five night Hotel accommodation at Kaanapali Beach Hotel or One Pair of Round Trip Coach Class Tickets to Glacier Bay/Gustavus on Alaska Airlines and three night Hotel accommodation at Glacier Bay Lodge. Valid for travel 3/1/12-3/1/13. Blackout dates 11/16/12-11/26/12, 12/20/12-1/4/13. Prizes are non-transferable, based on availability and cannot be exchanged, substituted or redeemed for cash. Additionally for Hawaii, Terms subject to availability. Redeemable for applicable room only. The Legislation of the State of Hawai‘i passed a law on July 1, 2011 requiring a $10.00 tax per room per night to be charged on all complimentary rooms. The winner will be required to pay this fee upon departure. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. All prizes must be claimed by February 22, 2012.
4. Conditions/Restrictions. By entering this contest, entrants are to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and all applicable text messaging fees. Alaska Airlines is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, incomplete, illegible or incorrect entries. Winner must produce identification satisfactory to Alaska Airlines and agrees that his or her name, photograph and likeness may be used for advertising and publicity purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. Winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release, including a publicity release, as prepared by Alaska Airlines within five (5) days after receipt and prior to receiving the prize. Winners will be responsible for payment of any taxes or fees, which result from the receipt and/or use of their prize. Anyone using fraudulent means to participate and/or win the Contest will be disqualified. In exchange for the right to participate in the Contest, each participant agrees to release and indemnify Alaska Airlines and any other related entity and entities affiliated with the Contest and their respective officers, directors, agents, parent companies, subsidiaries and employees, (the “Released Parties”), from any and all claims, demands and/or causes of action of any nature or kind whatsoever, whether presently known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, that arise out of the participant’s participation in the Contest.
