ABOUT THE BENEFICIARY
The Arboretum Foundation, producer and beneficiary of Opening Night, is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to stewardship of the Arboretum since 1935. Over the past 20 years, our Opening Night Party has raised over $1,500,000 to support the 230-acre Washington Park Arboretum.
The Arboretum Foundation’s mission is to create and strengthen an engaged community of donors, volunteers, and advocates who will promote, protect and enhance the Washington Park Arboretum for current and future generations. Foundation staff and over 450 volunteers produce fundraising events and appeals, raise funds for new exhibits in the Arboretum, manage the membership program and publications, implement hands-on horticultural programs and projects, and operate the Gift Shop.
