July 5 from 10 AM-noon. Gardens of Seattle University garden tour. Meet at the main campus entrance, at the corner of 12th Ave. and E Marion St. in Seattle. Tickets $20 for MOHAI members, $25 nonmembers.

July 11. 20th Annual Bainbridge in Bloom garden tour, showcases Bainbridge Island Washington’s finest gardens. Order Tickets for $25 or call 206-842-7901; or at various retail locations. Benefits the Bainbridge Island Arts & Humanities Council.

Sunday, July 13, 11 am – 4 pm. “Dig for Treasure” to remove plants from the NPA Perennial Border for renovation.  Help dig, divide and pot, and take home a treasured perennial at the Bellevue Botanical Garden, 12001 Main Street, Bellevue. Lunch provided. June 19, 1 PM and 2 PM at the Portland Japanese Garden. Join us in the Tea Garden of the Japanese Garden for a demonstration of tea prepared by Kashintei Kai. Tea ceremony demonstrations are offered at the Garden on the third Saturday of every summer month at 1pm and 2pm.

Sunday, July 20, 2008, 12:00p-4:00pm.  Garden Work Party with the Kruckeberg Botanic Garden Foundation, Shoreline, WA 98160-0035. The garden needs you! Tasks may include weeding, mulching, or raking. Tools and snacks are provided. To show our appreciation, all volunteers receive a discount on plants at the MsK Nursery.
